FEMALE HOSTEL GUTTED BY FIRE

Plateau State polytechnic female hostel has been gutted by fire.
According to our source, the fire started around 8am-11am before the arrival of the fire service operatives.
There was no loss of life but all properties were burnt down including certificates of the students in the hostel.
The incident happened when the students were at their lecture halls. Confirming the incident, the Rector of the school, Mr.Daudu Gemang said the students in the affected hostel would be relocated to another place to enable them cope and keep up with their studies. He said the fire was as a result of a Gas cylinder explosion, noting that it is a great set back to both the school and the Plateau State Government. Mr.Daudu Gemang said this on Monday 28 August,2017 while briefing newsmen in Jos.
