IPOB VOWS TO RESIST FG'S NEW ATTEMPT

The Indigenous People of Biafra has vowed to resist any attempt by the Federal Government to re-arrest its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, without first obtaining a court order.
The Federal Government had asked an Abuja Federal High Court, which is trying the IPOB leader over alleged treasonable felony, to revoke the bail granted him on April 25, 2017, and also order his immediate arrest.
The application was based on the grounds that Kanu violated his bail conditions.
Reacting to the development on Saturday, IPOB said it knew the Federal Government would, one day, seek to re-arrest Kanu.
IPOB spokesman, Comrade Emma Powerful, who spoke in a statement that was made available to journalists, said Kanu was prepared to be locked up in his quest to restore Biafra.
But he equally warned that IPOB members would resist the planned arrest, should the Federal Government come after Kanu without first obtaining a court order.
The IPOB spokesman noted that the matter was already before the court, as Kanu had, before now, filed an application for the variation of the bail conditions.
