The Kaduna State Government on Wednesday 22 August, 2017 warned against the massive circulation of gory pictures of dead bodies and those injured in recent violence that erupted in Kajuru Local Government Area of the state,inciting people revenge. About 40 people were killed in July 19,2017 following a communal clash between the Adara ethnic group and Fulani's in the area.
Addressing a newsmen conference at the state secretariat of correspondents chapel Kaduna, Samuel Aruwan, spokesman to Governor Nadir El-Rufai, said some mischievous people were behind the circulation of the pictures and warned any one found circulating such images would be dealt with. He said the State Security Council at its meeting on Tuesday, presided by Governor Nasir El-Rufa'i deliberated on the issues in the state. He added that,the security council also reviewed the security situation in Birnin Gwari, Southern Kaduna, Kaduna-Abuja road and Zaria-Kabau Giwa axis with a view to enhancing safety in the areas.
