THE DEVIL MADE ME ACT THAT WAY WITH THE PREGNANT WOMEN

A Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, has sentenced a man, Alex Owoh, to three-month imprisonment for taking photographs of expectant mothers.
Owoh, 48, of Dei-dei Pantaker in Abuja, was convicted after he pleaded guilty to one count charge of public nuisance.
The judge, Mr Abubakar Sadiq, however, gave Owoh an option of N10, 000 fine and warned him to desist from committing crime.
Sadiq said the punishment would have been stiffer, if Owoh had not saved the court the pains of protracted prosecution.
He ordered that the pictures be deleted from Owoh’s cell phone before returning it to him.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Florence Auhioboh, told the court that a Mr Chinedu Paul, who resides at Zauda, Abuja, reported the matter at the Gwagwa Police Station, on July 23.
The prosecutor said the convict took pictures of Paul’s expectant wife and two others in Gwagwa, on July 22. Auhioboh said the convict later ran away, leaving his cell phone. She said the offence contravened Section 183 of the Penal Code.
