CRITICISM OR HATE SPEECH?

A social economy analyst and lawyer, Barrister Anthony Ehilebo, has said the present Administration should be careful not to treat criticism as hate speech. Barrister Ehilebo reminded the current administration that it came into power with rousing criticism against the past administration which it never frowned at.
On the Nigerian Army move to check hate speech on social media Ehilebo noted that the Army roles do not cover monitoring social media and warned the Nigerian Army not to plunge into another agency of government’s constitutional role.

He agreed that truly hate speech is what all Nigerians should rise against before it cause havoc to the unity of Nigeria.
