The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III has reiterated his stance against the quit notice issued to Igbos in the north by a Coalition of Nothern youth groups.
The monarch, while addressing the Igbo union leader, His Imperial Majesty, (HIM) Sir Dr. Meshach, who paid a courtesy Sallah visit to the Sultan, stated that “if anybody or group of persons plans negative attack on the Igbos, it should be done to him first.”
The Sultan pointed out that the calls for the disintegration of Nigeria cannot solve any of the problems facing the country, adding that dividing it into many parts was not the solution to the mirage of problems facing the nation.
He also blamed politicians for the current issues the nation is facing.
